Creating a navigation header for an e-card site |

Start by filling the background with a solid pink color.

Create a rounded rectangle using rounded rectangle shape tool.
|
|
|
Enable "subtract from shape area" at the top bar. Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool.

Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown.
|
|
|
|
Similar creates two more rounded rectangles. Just replace the colors of gradient overlay.

Create a rounded rectangle using rounded rectangle shape tool.

Double click the layer to open layer style window. Apply settings as shown.

Create a rounded rectangle using rounded rectangle shape tool. Apply same layer style.

Create another rounded rectangle for the image using rounded rectangle shape tool.

Insert a relevant image. Place it right above the pink rounded rectangle in layer order in layer palette.

Press Ctrl+Alt+G to create a clipping mask.

|
Create a rounded rectangle for the button using rounded rectangle shape tool.

|
Duplicate layer, fill with a dark solid color.
|
|
|
Enable "subtract from shape area" at the top bar .Create a rectangle using rectangular shape tool.
|
|
|
|
Similarly create more buttons with different colors.
|
|
|
Populate the header with navigation link names, site logo and other text details.
|
|
|
