Creating embossed silhouette effect on an image |

Create a new file fill the background with a solid color. Insert cutout of an image.
|

|
From filter menu select stylize>>emboss. Apply settings as shown.
|
|
|
|
Press Ctrl+Shift+U to desaturate.
|
|
|
Change the layer mode to "Linear Light".
|
|
|
|
Duplicate the layer and change the layer mode to "Vivid Light".
