In this tutorial, we will learn to draw a realistic pen.
Create this shape with the pen tool.
The color is not important at this point, because we will change it later.
Click on convert to point tool.
Adjust the nodes to have this shape.
Now, set #967473 as foreground and #7D5558 as background color.
Right click on its layer name and select blending options and apply Gradient Overlay and Stroke settings as shown in the figure.

This is the base or body of our pen.
Select the brush size as shown in the figure.
Select #4C1F24 as foreground color. Draw a line with the help of brush in the middle of the pen. Go to filter>Blur>Gussian Blur and blur it 2 pixel.
Draw this triangular shape with the pen tool. Fill it with #D7D3D1.
Click on convert to point tool and adjust the nodes. Also erase the middle portion of this shape. Your image should look like this.
Create a new layer by pressing shift+control+n together.
Use brush tool to draw two lines as shown in the figure.
Draw this shape with the help of rectangle tool in the middle of the pen. Change its color to #F9E4E5.
Also draw two #816164 colored lines at the left and right side of this shape. Your image should look like this.
