Go to filter>sketch>Bass relief... and apply these settings
Press control+u to open hue/saturation dialog box. Click on colorize and drag the slider to have red color in the face.
Now, change the layer mode to darken.
We will now remove the unwanted area from the photo. For that, click on layer mask button. You will see the change in layer pallate.
Press 'x' to swap the color. Press control+backspace or select paint bucket tool and click anywhere in the photo layer. You will see that all efects are disappeard.
Press 'x' to swap the black & white colors. Use brush tool and move it inside the face of our model. Make sure that use the brush only insde the face.
